A new future for the Society for Clinical Data Management
SCDM, or the Society of Clinical Data Management, is a world-leading, influential community that promotes best practices, education and innovation in the clinical data management. Created over three decades ago they had become the foremost authority in their field. However, over that time their brand story had become fragmented and confusing – with multiple sub-brands and services. Working in co-creation with Think Studio, we restructured their brand house, crafted a cohesive brand strategy, and created a class-leading brand from the ground up.

New brand strategy
SCDM plays a significant role in shaping the industry as an influential platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional development in clinical data management. This authority was unique to SCDM and separated them from other societies.
We discovered that SCDM’s core purpose was to influence and equip the global community in creating cutting-edge clinical data management methods. They give everyone the knowledge they need to advance their career and the industry. So even though clinical data management was at their heart, as a people led society, it was the human element that drove their brand story.
Reimagined logo marque
Achieving a strong differentiation against competitors, the bold new logo marque represents data flow whilst also creating a fingerprint shape. This duality perfectly reflects the society’s human side, whilst being at the leading edge of clinical data management.
A fresh visual world
In collaboration with Thinc Studio, we reframed SCDM to become an innovative, inclusive and influential brand with a human story at its heart. One that confidently claimed its position as the leading authority in the industry – a source for education and thought-leadership for clinical managers around the world.
